Insurance Information & Payment Options

Your Insurance, Our Providers

Dental insurance policies can be confusing, and dental work can be a fairly heavy burden financially. Therefore, we understand most of our patients would like an idea of what their out-of-pocket costs will be; you are always welcome to call our office at any time before you schedule an appointment to request an estimated out-of-pocket quote.

We would like to remind our patients that dental insurance does not work the same way as health insurance. There is no set dollar amount insurances will cover. Most policies cover a percentage of the cost up to your individual annual maximum benefits. Therefore, we urge our patients to view your out-of-pocket expense not as a set “co-pay,” but as a down payment for services rendered.

Micro Endodontics is a participating provider with the following dental insurance policies:

  • Delta Dental PREMIERE
  • DENTAL BLUE, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

At the time of your office visit, we will ask you to make an “initial payment” –this is what our office estimates your insurance will not cover for you. We will submit the insurance claim for you when your treatment with us is finished.  After your insurance carrier has processed the claim and sent us payment for what they cover, we will contact you if there are any other issues with your account.

Financial Options are Available

If you have an insurance policy with a carrier not listed above, Micro Endodontics will be considered an out-of-network provider. “Out-of-Network,” however, does not mean a patient will have no coverage at all; in fact, most insurance carriers still cover their subscribers if the patient decides to go with a non-participating dentist. In most cases, going out of network means a slightly higher out-of-pocket expense on the patient’s part. If you have any questions regarding your insurance, our office staff is always available to address any concerns you may have in regards to your endodontic coverage. We do, however, strongly urge you to call your insurance carrier for the details of your individual policy considering most insurance carriers are more likely to give out more detailed information to their subscribers.

Insurance companies can take up to 4-6 weeks to process claims.  After our office hears back from your insurance company it may take an additional 1-2 weeks to process payment and send out bills/overpayment checks. In most cases, insurance companies will send out an explanation of benefits (EOB) to their subscribers before they send one out to the provider.  We ask you to be patient with us considering our office will probably not hear back from your insurance company until up to a week after you have received your EOB. You are, as always, welcome to call our office for a status update.

Micro Endodontics accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Visa/Mastercard
  • Discover
  • Care Credit*
  • Personal Check

*Dental work can be a heavy financial burden. For patients who have no dental insurance, this burden can be even heavier.  Since the need for most endodontic treatment is on an emergency basis, we understand that some of our patients will need flexibility and payment options.

In order to accommodate our patient’s financial needs Micro Endodontics offers the option of CareCredit. CareCredit offers several different no-interest payment plans for patients who are in need of medical/dental care who do not otherwise have the funds readily available. Micro Endodontics participates with CareCredit’s 6-month no-interest plan. If this is an option that interests you, please visit the CareCredit website for more information regarding your specific needs by clicking here.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our practice’s payment/financing policies, please give our office a call and a member of our staff will be able to assist you.
